The Appling County Pirates opened the regular season on Friday, August 26 against the Dodge County Indians at Jimmy Swain Stadium. The Pirates were able to get the win 20-0 and will travel to face neighboring Wayne County Yellow Jackets on Friday, September 2 with the game scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 28-28 tie with Windsor Forest.
