A Parking lot addition at the Appling County Courthouse for Appling County Board of Commissioners Baxley, GA 31513.
Sealed Bids for the construction of "A PARKING LOT ADDITION AT THE APPLING COUNTY COURTHOUSE" will be received by the Appling County Manager at the office of Appling County Board of Commissioners 69 Tippins Street, Baxley Georgia until 2:00 pm on September, 13, 2011 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The project consists of the 6500 +/- square feet of asphalt paving and landscaping adjacent to the Magistrates office at the county court house Baxley Georgia. The work includes miscellaneous demolition, paving and drainage, soil erosion and landscaping of the existing site.
Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Bids will be evaluated based on the performance on similar projects, quality of other similar work, projected time schedule for completion of the project, and the overall cost. Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total bid shall be required at the time of contract award to the successful bidder. The owner will reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities and award the contract in the best interest of the owner.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am, August 30, 2011 at second floor conference room 69 Tippins Street, Baxley GA 31513.
Bidding Documents may be examined the office of Appling County Mangers of 69 Tippins Street, Baxley County GA 31513. Registration of bidders and application for acquiring an electronic copy of the bid documents shall be made by contacting the architect office at a non-refundable cost of fifty dollars ($50.00). Checks for registration and these documents shall be made payable to Darby W. McCloskey, Architect. Additional copies will be available to registered bidders with permission of the architect directly from the assigned printing company at contractors cost. Neither the owner nor the architect will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources.
