Frances Elizabeth McLemore
Frances Elizabeth McLemore, 99, of Vidalia, died Friday, July 29, 2011 in Bethany Assisted Living in Vidalia. Mrs. McLemore was born April 23, 1912 in Appling County to the late Silas Malcolm Johnson and the late Letitia Sellers Johnson. She was a member of Surrency Baptist Church. Frances Elizabeth was a schoolteacher, artist and musician. Her husband, Carr McLemore, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joe Linn of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Faye McLemore of Knoxville, TN and Mark and Melanie McLemore of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Steve, Mary Frances, Cheryl, Gregg, Sandra, Richard and eight great-grandchildren, Claudia, Blake, Jacob, Caroline, Hayden, Kendall, Addie and Cooper also survive.
Grave side services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1 in Omega Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Carter officiating.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Habitat for Humanity.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
